WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Warranty Coverage

  • Surface Shield Luxury Interior Protection Films are covered under warranty against the following manufacturing defects:
    • Bubbling
    • Natural Peeling
    • Cracking
    • Delamination
    • Yellowing caused by manufacturing defects
  • This warranty applies only to the film material and does not include removal, reinstallation, or labor charges unless explicitly stated by Surface Shield.
  • The film is guaranteed to retain its clarity, strength, and protective performance when maintained under normal indoor conditions.

2. Warranty Validity

  • Warranty is valid only for installations completed by an authorized Surface Shield installer or certified partner.
  • Warranty period begins from the installation date provided on the warranty card.
  • Warranty is non-transferable, applicable only to the original customer and installation site.
  • Any unauthorized removal, modification, or tampering with the product will immediately void the warranty.

3. Exclusions — What’s Not Covered

  • Misuse, accidental impact, dents, or intentional damage.
  • Cuts or scratches from sharp household tools, knives, or abrasive materials.
  • Damage caused by hot vessels, pans, or heated appliances exceeding the film’s rated temperature tolerance.
  • Stains or surface damage from acidic chemicals, detergents, bleach, or harsh cleaners.
  • Staining caused by food substances such as turmeric (haldi), spices, or strong color agents is not covered under warranty.
  • Damage caused by adhesives, stickers, tapes, or suction products.
  • Natural expansion or contraction of wood, glass, or stone substrates.
  • Normal wear, aging, or discoloration caused by excessive sunlight or environment.
  • Installation done by unauthorized or untrained personnel.
  • Damage caused by fire, flooding, natural disasters, negligence, or improper cleaning methods.

4. Maintenance & Care Requirements

  • Clean only using a soft microfiber cloth.
  • Use mild soap solution; avoid hard scrubbing.
  • Strictly avoid acidic, ammonia-based, strong chemical, or alcohol-based cleaners.
  • Do not cut, slice, or chop directly on the protected surface.
  • Avoid dragging heavy appliances or sharp items on the film.
  • Do not place extremely hot utensils or pans directly on the film.
  • Inspect the edges periodically to ensure proper adhesion.

5. Warranty Claim Process

  • Contact your authorized installer or Surface Shield support team immediately after noticing any defect.
  • Please provide:
    • Original Warranty Card (signed and stamped)
    • Purchase invoice or proof of installation
    • Description and photographs of the issue
  • An inspection will be conducted by an authorized Surface Shield technician.
  • If the defect is confirmed as a manufacturing issue, replacement film will be provided.
  • Handling or labor charges may be applicable depending on the case.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Surface Shield’s responsibility is limited strictly to replacement of defective film material.
  • The company is not responsible for:
    • Damage to underlying surfaces
    • Loss of use, downtime, or business interruption
    • Consequential damages arising from the installation site
  • Any replacement provided will be valid only for the remaining period of the original warranty.

7. Authorized Warranty Validation

  • The warranty is considered valid only when:
    • The warranty card is fully completed, signed, and stamped by an authorized installer.
    • Product details, installation date, and customer details are properly filled.
  • Altered, photocopied, or overwritten cards are strictly invalid.
  • Warranty applies only to genuine Surface Shield films purchased through official channels.

8. Company Rights

  • Surface Shield reserves full rights to inspect and verify all warranty claims before approval.
  • The company may modify, replace, or repair the film based on policy guidelines.
  • All decisions made by Surface Shield regarding warranty claims are final and binding.
  • Warranty terms and conditions may be revised without prior notice.
